Wander+Lust is your wingman for your travel adventures

· Advertising ·

Hey guys, I want to personally welcome you to the first issue of Wander+Lust, the racier sibling of the brand-new travel brand Pink Ticket Travel. This is the channel where you’ll find more about male-oriented nightlife and other travel experiences. We’ll be hitting your inbox every second week, but you can explore our content anytime you want here on (also brand new) Pink Ticket Travel.

We haven’t forgotten about the popular Daily Xtra Travel, where you can research destinations Pink Ticket hasn’t visited yet. But what we’ve got here will be fresher and friendlier.

Your humble editor takes a quick selfie between cocktails at Sky Lagoon in Reykjavík.

Wander+Lust is about more than just listings. We’ll be serving a variety of stories that I hope you find inspiring for your adventures, including stories about the personalities, the cultures and the backstories that make some places so thrilling to visit. Our insider guides are meant to help you explore new things—or at the very least help you get yourself fed when you’re not partying. Just because we love a packed dance floor doesn’t mean we don’t also love a fantastic gallery exhibit, an invigorating mountain hike or a delicious drag brunch. And we’ll be introducing you to some local experts and experienced travellers—influencers who will inspire you in our newsletters and on our soon-to-go-live social media channels.

I promise that I’ll do our best to be accurate and up-to-date with our coverage, and deliver it with a smile and more than a dollop of sass. While I won’t be coy about the sexy side of travel, I also promise to watch out for your safety; Wander+Lust will make you aware of laws, policies and social attitudes that may affect your adventures.

Wander+Lust will respect and cherish the LGBTQ2S+ communities we visit. We’ll follow their lead in how we celebrate the place where they live and love, and how we’ll respond to any homophobia and transphobia we might find there. I hope you’ll follow their lead, too.

I will make sure that Wander+Lust picks its battles, expecting more from corporations and established players in the travel and hospitality industry, while nurturing emerging destinations and players that seem eager to grow and learn.

Wander+Lust will be transparent about any complimentary travel we receive to do our jobs. We’ll tell you the stories we think you want to hear, and we’ll never let anyone we cover review our content before you see it.

And whether I call you “guys,” “dudes,” “hot daddies,” “sparkling twinks” or any other bit of flattery that comes to mind, please know that I’m always including trans, bi and gay guys and their allies—that is, anybody who is down with men who love and have sex with men. Wander+Lust might regularly describe venues as “gay friendly,” but I know very well that lots of not-exactly-gay people may feel right at home in those spots.

So put up your tray and bring your seat back into an upright position. We’re ready to take you on your next big adventure.

Hugs, Paul, your Wander+Lust travel guide… and travel daddy? Oh, too much too soon? Well, we did promise we were going to get down to “business” at Wander+Lust. Happy trails!
