Last month Pink Ticket Travel and Wander+Lust partnered with U.K.-based TikTok influencer Tyreece for an adventure in San Francisco last, starting with a tour of Folsom Street Fair, which happens every September. And we’re rolling out what happened. Here’s Tyreece to set it up.
Hey, babes! I just got back to London from my iconic trip to San Francisco with Pink Ticket Travel and Xtra Magazine. We’ve got more amazing content coming, but to start here’s the video of my day at the 40th anniversary of the Folsom Street Fair.
Let me just tell you, I was GAGGED! I was not expecting what I expected. I literally thought it was going to be all about people walking around in black latex and shopping for whips. How wrong I was—and how right at the same time. Lots of whips and black latex, but so much more. It was a queer fantasia, babes. Imagine Pride on acid with extra sexual liberation and a dash more freedom. That is what it was!
Freedom and acceptance on a magnitude that I’ve never felt at any Pride around the world. Other than the slay people walking around fully nude and the live sex on the street (I was gagged but they were gagging), what surprised me most was that everyone from every corner of the LGBTQ2S+ community—gay/ally/trans/drag/bear/muscle-mary—was so friendly and welcoming, and especially to me, which was good because I stuck out like a manicured thumb.
They loved me and I LOVED IT. I am telling you, you gotta go. They was all so cute! But seriously, Folsom Street Fair is an amazing representation of San Francisco, a city that understands that the meaning of community is people. It was all about the people, babes, and it warmed my little heart.
