From Miami to Berlin to Tokyo, here are 12 wild gay parties happening this fall. If you’ve got a harness, singlet, puppy mask or other kinky garments, you’re going to want to just leave them in your suitcase for the next few months. They’ve got a lot of work to do.
Berlin, Germany
August 27 to 31, 2025
With nudity tolerated in many of its parks and sex encouraged in its gay bars, Berliners are hard to shock. But Folsom Europe, founded in 2004 as a spinoff of the San Francisco original, does its very best with six parties catering to leathermen, bears, rubber guys, puppies and other assorted fetishists. About 20,000 attend annually. The main event, the street fair, takes place on the Saturday.
New Orleans, Louisiana
Southern Decadence
August 29 to September 1, 2025
One of the most reliable good times in the American gay calendar, Southern Decadence has been around since Labour Day 1972. There are parties all over the city culminating in a parade through the French Quarter. Newbies might be surprised to learn that public nudity is actually not allowed.
Sitges, Spain
Bear Week Sitges
September 5, to September 14, 2025
This Spanish resort town, a 40-minute train ride from Barcelona, is probably Europe’s bear capital. Expect as many as 10,000 big, hairy men to attend 10 days of parties. The Bear Village, where many of the official events are held, is right on the beach, at the bottom of Calle Bonaire. The climax—if there has to be just one—is the awarding of Mr. Bear Sitges on the beach on the final Saturday.

Since 1984, Folsom Street fair has been a carnival of perversions, attracting hundreds of thousands of people who participate in or watch public nudity, sexual activity and a multitude of kinky goings-on. It’s pure patron-generated entertainment, where the lines between straight and queer are extremely blurry. Not family-friendly unless you’re an all-adult leather family.

Founded in 2024, Sinland calls itself the biggest gay party in Japan—and who are we to argue? The Friday event is a men-only underwear party, while the Saturday main event features three stages, the latest going until 5 a.m. The circuit vibe attracts an international crowd.

Canada’s largest Halloween party sees the Gay Village packed shoulder to shoulder with costumed characters and picture-taking spectators. Many of the bars have best-costume contests. Considering how unpredictable the late October weather can be, you’d be surprised how bare some festival-goers get.

This shirts-off long-weekend circuit party has the Latin flavour you’d expect from a Miami blowout. Producer Raul Griffith was born in Venezuela and grew up in Miami, and there are usually DJs from south of the equator. There are six official parties including the Monday sunrise after-hours party.

London Leather Weekend

Established as MSC London in 1973, the social group London Leathermen have a bit—just a tiny bit—of experience throwing a naughty party. In fact, they’re the U.K.’s longest-standing gay/bi/queer men’s club. There are daytime and nighttime events, some more earnest—and others more racy—than others.
